Xbox Series S - Holiday Console
Drives: The X-Series comes with a slot-load UHD Blu-ray drive, while the S-Series is completely discless. If you have a lot of Blu-ray and 4K Blu-ray discs, plan to buy used games, or just prefer physical media, the Xbox Series X is your only option. The lack of an optical drive in the Series S won't be a problem if you plan to buy new and digital titles through the Xbox Store and online, and rely more heavily on Xbox Game Pass.

You can certainly see a leap forward with the next generation when it comes to gaming performance. The PS4 Pro excels in graphics, while the Xbox Series S excels in gameplay. Thanks to its 10 GB GDDR6 128-bit wide bus and 8X cores @ 3.6 GHz (3.4 GHz w/SMT) custom Zen 2 CPU processor, Xbox Series S achieves incredible performance. Fully capable of 120 fps. But most of the time, you'll be playing at a solid 60 fps.
They demand an uncompromising next-gen experience. With Quick Resume, ray tracing, and 120fps gaming support, the Xbox Series S offers a lot of what Microsoft's flagship console can do. However, the lack of native 4K resolution and optical drive for most games, combined with the meager amount of SSD storage, meant the Series S couldn't really be a poster child for next-gen consoles.

I've been using the Series S for a few days now and I can tell you it's the perfect console for me. I had the first gen Xbox and Xbox 360, and while I ditched the Xbox One (because of their first E3 presentation) and bought a PS4, I was hesitant to use an Xbox again, but since Phil Spencer took over, they did In progress beyond the dominance of the Xbox division.

The Xbox Series S...it's small, takes up little space, and packs a punch. The Series S can outperform the Series X in some ways, such as B. Running the console at 60 frames per second is a challenging experience. The Series X wins in small things like distance and slightly better resolution, but at times suffers from lower frame rates. But they're pretty much the same next-gen experience, just giving customers two choices. What is the biggest difference?
Microsoft lets gamers never miss out on next-gen experiences because they can't afford it! If you want the next generation and also want to save money, then the S-Series is for you! ! But if you want the full experience, the X-Series is for you!
The Series X wins for storage, but the Series S can hold 20 or more decent-sized games and don't forget you can use cloud gaming for a lot of games you don't want to download.
With the Game Pass Cloud feature, you can play games in seconds without downloading/installing anything. I've tested the Series X and the Series S and there's not much difference. I can easily transfer my saved data from Series X to Series S and keep using it. For example, Gears of War 5 or WWE 2k22 are about the same on both. Series X - more storage space, can play physical games. The resolution is slightly better. Load time differences are reported within seconds.
S Series - Numbers Only! This means that no physical games can be played. Setup and game download require WiFi. Once the game is fully updated and downloaded, it can be used offline, but a WiFi connection is required to set up the console and download the game first!
The Series S should not be belittled or downplayed, and more information should be provided to let customers know that this is indeed the next generation. There's nothing wrong with the S series being easier to find.

Downloading my library from Xbox One (previous Xbox) to Series S via the Xbox app was very easy. (available on Google Play Android and iOS App Store) Much simpler than Sony PlayStation. Xbox wants you to keep your library and provide extra backwards compatibility! I am very happy with my S series and don't even bother with the X series anymore. I feel the same way about small differences that aren't worth it. Not every gamer is worth the difference. Loading and Quick Resume breathes new life into previous generation games that had long loading times! Games like UFC 4 get a nice FPS boost along with Far Cry 5 and many others. Games you've already paid for will be updated, and new games will slowly unlock the true power of your purchases. No need to trade your Series S for an upgrade as it will run new games and keep up with ease!
It's even small enough to offer multiple delivery options! I sent my Xbox to a nearby locker! It's super easy to carry and it doesn't come in a box, which thankfully gives away its contents.
If you care about 4-5 extra bushes and a little more distance, it doesn't make a difference in how much you can't react. Like the driving games, you can experience the same gameplay on either console, only the Series X might have more to see from afar. If storage space is that important to you both, or resolution is that important, go for the X. But if you want next-gen and don't need extra storage, don't care about physical gaming, and want to save money, go for the S series Don't miss out on the next generation, waiting for the full-priced X series when the S arrives.
